We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager to oversee the company’s financial operations, with a particular focus on Tax, Audit, and large-scale financial drawdowns. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring financial integrity, compliance, and strategic financial management across the organization.
This position involves responsibility for monthly drawdowns exceeding AUD 70 million, regulatory coordination with ASIC, and managing statutory and internal audits. The Finance Manager will serve as a trusted advisor to the CFO and Chairman, supporting decision-making through accurate reporting, risk management, and financial planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all finance and accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.
- Lead monthly drawdown management (AUD 70 million+), ensuring funds are allocated, tracked, and reported accurately.
- Supervise all taxation activities, including GST, income tax, FBT, and other statutory returns in compliance with ATO regulations.
- Manage external and internal audits, ensuring timely completion and full compliance with Australian accounting standards.
- Prepare and review BASS (Business Activity Statements), ensuring accuracy and timely lodgement.
- Maintain robust relationships and ensure compliance with ASIC and other regulatory bodies.
- Develop and implement financial controls, risk management processes, and cost efficiency measures.
- Support the CFO and Chairman with strategic financial analysis, forecasts, and budget management.
- Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Liaise with external advisors, including auditors, tax agents, and financial institutions.
Key Requirements
- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is highly regarded.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; postgraduate qualifications preferred.
- 10–15 years of progressive finance experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial or senior finance role.
- Demonstrated experience managing large-scale financial operations and cash flow (AUD 70 million+).
- Strong understanding of Australian tax laws, audit processes, and corporate compliance.
- Proven experience liaising with ASIC and other statutory bodies.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems and financial reporting software.
- Exceptional analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
