Role Description

As a division of PJT Partners, Park Hill Group provides fund placement services for alternative investment managers, including private equity funds, hedge funds, real estate funds, and venture capital funds. Since its inception in 2005, Park Hill has served as a placement agent to more than 200 funds that have raised more than $260 billion for a diverse range of investment strategies. Park Hill's private equity group offers analysts the chance to engage directly in the fund formation process for some of the best private equity firms worldwide. The private placement process uniquely develops both the quantitative and qualitative skills required at more advanced levels across the financial spectrum.

Each fundraising deal is typically run by a three-person deal team - a Senior Project Manager and an Analyst, with oversight from an MD/Partner.

Responsibilities for this individual will include:
  • Assisting the deal team in all aspects - from working directly with clients in drafting offering memorandums and marketing materials, coordinating all roadshow scheduling and logistics, and preparing for and coordinating all due diligence meetings.
  • Managing multiple projects often under time constraints / deadlines, interaction and constant communication with clients, and great attention to detail.
  • Assisting the Partners in various research projects and the sourcing, diligence and origination of new mandates.
  • Managing and maintaining all external PHG materials, including marketing/pitch materials, fund offering booklets and executive presentations for the senior partners of PJT.

Qualifications

PJT Partners seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition, qualified candidates will possess the following:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Investment Banking or a Placement Agent
  • Knowledge of and interest in the alternative asset industry - specifically private equity and hedge funds
  • Strong analytical skills and detail oriented
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment and to handle multiple projects at a time
  • A self-starter, but with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Confident and self-aware with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong work ethic - personal and professional integrity of the highest order
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
