- Development and delivery of contracting training programs
- Driving consistency, quality in negotiations, and global risk management

Core Responsibilities:
- Contracting Strategy: Define and implement the contracting vision and objectives aligned with company strategy.
- Leadership: Own the Contracting Advisory Team, providing guidance, support, and development to achieve team goals.
- Templates, Guidance & Playbooks: Lead the full lifecycle of priority agreements, including drafting notes, fallbacks, and change control. Leverage data to reduce deviations and cycle times.
- Training & Capability: Design and deliver a multi-tier curriculum (foundation to advanced), including workshops and micro-learning. Track adoption and outcomes; coach contracting professionals.
- Advisory & Negotiation: Lead complex drafting and negotiations for strategic, high-value contracts. Provide practical, business-focused advice across key business areas.
- Governance & Assurance: Oversee governance of templates and playbooks, handle exceptions, conduct contract reviews, and engage external counsel for quality and value.
- Digital CLM & Legal Ops: Integrate templates and playbooks into the CLM system. Define and monitor targets (e.g., cycle time, deviation rates), analyze trends, and drive improvements.
- Ways of Working & Partner Engagement: Standardize processes and handoffs. Act as the single point of accountability for contracting standards and training. Collaborate across global teams and time zones.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Legal Background: Qualified lawyer (common law preferred) with an accredited law degree; admitted to practice in Malaysia, UK, or US. 10-15+ years PQE in complex commercial contracting. MCIPS/ISM certification is a plus.
Hard Skills:
- Expertise in contract drafting and negotiation, including cross-border deals and complex risk areas (IP, liability, indemnities, termination, SLAs) across Production & Operations, Digital & Talent, and Customer Supply.
- Proven leadership in standardizing templates/playbooks and managing governance.
- Experience in designing and delivering legal/S&C training (curricula, workshops, micro-learning).
- Familiarity with CLM platforms and clause libraries; comfortable with digital tools and analytics.
- Strong legal operations approach with focus on indicators and continuous improvement.
Soft Skills:
- Executive presence with clear, persuasive communication; able to simplify complex issues and build consensus.
- Collaborative leadership style with coaching and mentoring strengths; effective across global, virtual teams with high emotional intelligence and cultural awareness.
- Commercially astute with sound ethical judgment; balances risk protection with business enablement.
- Must be able to support UK/US time zones as required (11:00 or 13:00 start times).
