We are seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to join our client’s major project team in Karratha. This role is responsible for leading electrical construction and commissioning activities on a large-scale industrial facility and ensuring all works are delivered safely, on schedule, and to specification. You will act as a key interface between engineering, construction, commissioning, contractors, and the client team.
About the Role
As the Electrical Superintendent, you will oversee all high-voltage, low-voltage, instrumentation, and electrical installation scope across site. You will ensure compliance with Australian standards, verify progress and quality, manage subcontractor performance, and support commissioning readiness. The position requires strong leadership, communication skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple work fronts in a live construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise electrical construction, installation, testing, and commissioning activities
• Lead and mentor electrical supervisors, technicians, and contractor teams
• Ensure all electrical works follow HSE requirements, quality standards, and project procedures
• Support commissioning teams with energisation, loop checks, functional testing, and turnover
• Monitor progress, resolve technical issues, and coordinate with engineering
• Report daily/weekly progress, risks, and mitigations to project leadership
• Manage IFC documentation, permits, and handover packages
About You
• Degree or Trade qualification in Electrical Engineering or similar
• Must have proven experience in both construction AND commissioning
• Background in power plants, LNG facilities, petrochemical, or large processing plants
• Strong knowledge of Australian electrical standards, HV/LV systems, and commissioning procedures
