Summary of the role:
We are seeking an Insurance Consultant with strong London Market and Specialty Insurance expertise to support clients across operational, digital, and business transformation initiatives. This role is ideal for a consultant who brings deep insurance domain knowledge, combined with hands-on experience delivering end-to-end transformation, process improvement, and operating model design within the specialty insurance sector.
While experience with Post-Merger Integration (PMI) is advantageous, it is not a core requirement for this role. The primary focus is on advising insurers across the London and specialty markets on operational excellence, target operating models, digital transformation, and opportunity identification.
You will act as a trusted subject matter expert, working closely with senior stakeholders to shape and deliver transformation programs across underwriting, claims, delegated authority, finance, and operations.

- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) across the insurance lifecycle within the London and Specialty Insurance markets, including Lloyd's.
- Advise clients on target operating model design, operating effectiveness, and process optimisation.
- Support and lead insurance consulting engagements across operations transformation, digital transformation, and process improvement initiatives.
- Deliver end-to-end transformation projects, from diagnostic and opportunity identification through to implementation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define transformation roadmaps, business cases, and execution plans.
- Conduct gap assessments, process reviews, and operating model assessments across underwriting, claims, delegated authority, finance, and compliance.
- Support clients with London Market-specific operating models, placement processes, governance structures, and regulatory considerations.
- Leverage data, automation, and digital capabilities to improve efficiency and performance across insurance operations.
- Partner with senior client stakeholders to manage delivery, track outcomes, and ensure sustainable change.
- Contribute to business development activities, including proposals, client presentations, and thought leadership.
Qualifications and experience we consider to be essential for the role:
- 5-8 years of consulting experience within the insurance sector.
- Strong insurance domain expertise, with experience in the London Market, Lloyd's, and specialty insurance.
- Proven experience delivering operational transformation, digital transformation, or process improvement projects.
- Hands-on experience building or supporting target operating models for insurers.
- Strong understanding of specialty insurance products, placement processes, and market dynamics.
- Experience working with insurers across the UK market (Bermuda exposure desirable).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with data-led transformation and automation in insurance.
- Experience working within consulting, advisory, or transformation teams.
Preferred Experience, but not essential:
- Experience supporting Post-Merger Integration (PMI) or integration-related workstreams.
- Exposure to synergy assessments, integration readiness, or operating model harmonisation.
- Project management certification or experience (Agile, PRINCE2, PMP).
