As Sanctions and Embargoes analyst and project manager in the Private Bank Italy, you will contribute to implementing and strengthening the international sanctions control framework, ensuring full compliance with applicable laws, regulations and internal standards, while supporting key compliance projects aimed at safeguarding the Bank's integrity and minimizing regulatory, reputational and financial risks.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to designing and implementing an integrated Sanctions and AML controls framework (processes, internal procedures, IT systems and tools), in line with the Regulatory and Group requirements.
  • Monitor new regulatory developments affecting the Bank's products and processes; proactively identify potential gaps and drive remediation.
  • Provide proactive compliance advice to the sales network and in bank projects, identifying and clearly disclosing potential risks early and defining clear mitigating measures.
  • Support the execution of sanctions and embargoes-related activities such as alert management, complex investigations, report preparation, escalation management.
  • Develop, maintain, and deliver ongoing training and education programs to promote a strong compliance culture and understanding of compliance-relevant matters; ensure timely and accurate responses to regulatory inquiries and inspections.

Skills
  • Sound knowledge of key applicable compliance regulation (sanctions and AML).
  • Ability and willingness to translate external regulations and Group requirements into clear and practical actions, engaging constructively with internal stakeholders.
  • Strong diagnostic skills for compliance-related issues, with the ability to identify potential compliance risks and drive solutions to prevent them.
  • 2/3 years of experience as Project Manager (preferably in a consulting firm) and in process optimization.
  • Post-graduate degree in Business and/or Engineering.
  • Effective communication skills at multiple levels (verbal and written).
  • Fluency in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
  • Good proficiency in Microsoft tools (Word, Excel and Powerpoint).
  • Strength problem-solving, issue-resolution skills, with the ability to work in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Curious, humble, "no task is too small" and proactive mindset.
  • Ability in using SAS is a plus.
