FPSO Hull / LQ / Mooring Engineering & Construction Supervisor
Location: Nantong, China (Resident, CMHI Yard)
Duration: Long-term assignment (Full-time, 5.5 days/week)

Role Overview The position involves supervising, reviewing, and monitoring all engineering, construction, repair, and life-extension activities related to the FPSO Hull, Living Quarters (LQ), and Mooring systems.
The role ensures full compliance with project specifications, technical requirements, and schedule expectations while providing proactive technical support and structured reporting.

Key Responsibilities Engineering & Construction Supervision
  • Review and comment on all Hull, LQ, and Mooring engineering and construction documents.
  • Ensure construction activities comply with approved designs and project technical requirements.
  • Support and follow classification approval processes.
  • Oversee repair and life-extension activities on the hull.
Project Execution & Integration
  • Review plans for FPSO transport to the offshore field.
  • Verify transport plans for modules and equipment to the integration yard.
Technical Support
  • Respond promptly to engineering queries, deviation requests, and unexpected issues.
  • Maintain proactive, solution‑oriented problem‑solving.
  • Issue structured reporting and escalate critical items to project management.
Contractual & Cost Oversight
  • Identify potential changes early to prevent unnecessary Change Orders.
  • Review Change Work Orders and New Price Forms.
  • Assist in monitoring project costs versus budget and reviewing Bills of Quantities.
Profile & Requirements
  • Strong background in project engineering, construction supervision or management in Oil & Gas or maritime projects, ideally with FPSO experience.
  • Degree in Naval Architecture or equivalent.
  • Excellent organizational, coordination, communication, and leadership abilities.
  • Proactive, rigorous, and solution‑driven mindset.
  • English mandatory; French or Mandarin is an advantage.
Work Conditions (Resident in China)
  • On-site presence required at CMHI Yard offices, 5.5 working days per week.
  • Weekend or public holiday work only upon written authorization.
  • Day-rate position including:
    visa & work permit, mobility, accommodation, medical coverage, MEDEVAC, transportation, schooling (if applicable), and communication equipment (laptop provided on site).
