ConsultingOverview
We are currently seeking an experienced IT Software Engineer to join a leading organisation within the energy and infrastructure sector, based in London.
This role sits within a high-performing technology team supporting critical business applications and infrastructure. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design, development, testing, and ongoing improvement of software solutions that underpin operational and commercial activities.
Key Responsibilities
The position requires an individual who is comfortable working both independently and collaboratively across defined project streams. You will contribute to the successful delivery of technology initiatives, ensuring solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with business requirements.
Key responsibilities will include involvement in the full software development lifecycle, from initial design through to implementation and support. Depending on project requirements, you may take ownership of specific development components or act as a subject matter expert in testing and quality assurance, including the creation of test scripts and validation processes.
You will also provide technical guidance and support to internal stakeholders, helping to resolve functional and system-related issues across applications and infrastructure. This will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot problems, identify improvements, and ensure the stability and performance of systems.
Skills & Experience
Candidates should have a solid background in software engineering, with experience working on complex systems in a professional setting. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage priorities effectively are essential.
Excellent communication skills are required, with the ability to engage confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience working within structured project environments and contributing to cross-functional teams will be highly beneficial.
Working Environment
This is an onshore, London-based position operating within standard working hours. The role is well suited to individuals who are motivated, adaptable, and keen to contribute to a collaborative and forward-thinking technology environment.
