EngineeringOur client is seeking a Rotating Equiptment Engineer to support US based LNG export facility.
This position will be reporting to the Director of Operations Engineering, this role oversees the development of Ready for Operations (RFO) tasks, ensuring a smooth transition from Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) to operations. The chosen candidate will be a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) in rotating equipment, adept in components like gas and steam turbines, motors, compressors, and pumps, along with associated systems.
Moreover, the incumbent will provide at a minimum an intermediate level of Reliability Engineering support to the Operations team, focusing on the following areas:
In addition, this individual is expected to offer guidance and mentorship to less experienced staff engaged in the maintenance and operation of plant equipment, thus ensuring maximum asset availability.

- Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA): Demonstrating proficiency in relevant techniques to lead RCFA exercises for equipment and process failures.
- Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM): Possessing knowledge in relevant techniques to optimize existing Maintenance practices, ensuring a cost-effective yet robust Maintenance strategy.
In addition, this individual is expected to offer guidance and mentorship to less experienced staff engaged in the maintenance and operation of plant equipment, thus ensuring maximum asset availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Functioning as a resident company SME, providing counsel and direction on issues related to Rotating Equipment system engineering.
- Offering day-to-day support for Rotating Equipment and Mechanical systems to the Maintenance & Operations teams, guaranteeing uninterrupted operability of plant equipment.
- Delivering advanced diagnostic assistance for swift production recovery in cases of equipment failure and plant outages.
- Steering Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) efforts, including the ability to compile summaries with causes and recommendations and present them to relevant parties.
- Interpreting and assessing recommendations from Reliability Technicians on predictive programs.
- Aiding the Maintenance team in Turnaround planning and execution.
- Facilitating availability tracking and bolstering overall reliability of plant equipment.
- Assessing workflow processes, identifying critical spares, and determining storage and preservation requirements for Rotating Equipment systems across the plant.
- Leading initiatives to refine and enhance existing Maintenance practices through Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Education and Certifications:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a relevant technical discipline.
- Preference for a focus on Mechanical Engineering.
- A Professional Engineering License is advantageous.
- Experience:
- A minimum of ten years' senior engineering experience, particularly in Rotating and Mechanical equipment within an industrial setting, whether in engineering or operations.
- Required Oil and Gas experience, with preference given to those familiar with LNG applications; however, expertise in petrochemicals, NGL, cryogenic natural gas processing, or other hydrocarbon processing can be considered.
- Comprehensive knowledge of gas turbines (Frames & Aero-derivatives) and compressors (including compressor performance).
- Additional Skills:
- Familiarity with CMMS Systems.
- Proficiency in RCFA tools for conducting failure analysis.
