- Onshore production facilities (well sites, flow lines, gathering lines, metering stations, central flow manifolds)
- Oil/gas separation and processing, Gas sweetening, Acid-gas processing,Sulfur handling, storage, and shipping, LPG-product fractionation, storage, and shipping
- Crude-oil storage and shipping, Rail-loading facilities for all products
- Tengiz-area infrastructure including roads, warehousing and power supply
- New facilities for the treatment and disposal of low pH rain water comprising water collecting piping, collection / neutralization pond and evaporation ponds
- Review and approval of job packs and design deliverables to QA/QC submitted by the engineering contractors. Maintain and update Specifications & Standards in Civil/Structural discipline, as needed
- Provides technical support to Planning Group with regards to the cost estimate and project schedule, managing engineering and drafting works for civil/structural discipline
- Preparation/review of civil/structural job packages for the cap?tal projects, review and approval of job packs and design deliverables to QA/QC submitted by the engineering contractor
- Generally proceeds on own initiative and judgment, receiving general supervision with infrequent supplementary instructions
- Provide input to Project Engineers during early project development (CPDEP 1 & 2) phases, and participate in Project Planning, Scheduling and Estimates
- Specify and raise material requisitions for Purchasing of major/long lead structural, architectural, fireproofing materials, HDPE membranes and other bulk items
- Review and approve a list of project specific requirements and constraints for on land site development; review soil reports and studies for optimal site selection, geotechnical calculations for soil improvement and deep excavations method, and earth retaining structures
- Review and approve infrastructure design requirements; perform technical review for transportation (on land), loading/offloading and installation of vessels, columns, substations and structural modules
- Review and approve Heavy Lift methods and associated constructability issues and Safety considerations. Identify risk and develop mitigation plans
- Provide guidance on repairs, modifications and strengthening for exist?ng structures, consult with SME on special issues such as vibration design
- Review and approve specialty engineered scaffolding
- Fire protection; Review detailed fire and blast evaluation, and risk assessments, approve structural calculations
- Perform functional review of MOC documentation to ensure emergency response plans are in place
- Participate in safety incidents investigations and provide input as SME
- Ensure that all design packages comply with Specifications & ASME, API and other applicable national and international standards (should know SNIP, Eurocode and GOST standards)
- Ensure that materials used in the fabrication and construction complies with Specifications and requirements
- Provide technical support to site construction and Start-up / Commissioning groups. Provide technical solutions to problems at construction site
- Provide engineering input and engineering support to out-source engineering companies during the execution of projects. Review and approve out-sourced engineering company submittals to ensure conformity to Standards and Specifications and contract terms
- Responsible for leading and deployment of engineering work processes, the guidelines, the policies and standards that will ensure the quality of the work product, its efficiency of design and the cost awareness during design and project execution
- Participate in technical evaluation of bids received and the selection of suitable contractor for executing projects, relates design requirements to alternative specifications and standards considering project cost, operations efficiency, maintenance costs and energy conservation
- Responsible for providing technical input, reports and discussion to major capital projects, site technical review bodies or committees
- Higher technical education in Civil Engineering (master's degree in respective area is preferable)
- 5+ years applicable experience in the industrial building (oil & gas industry is preferable)
- English language proficiency (speak/read/write) of Intermediate Level or higher is required
- Proficiency in using of STAAD Pro, MS Office Programs (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) is required
- Must show experience and maturity in leading the Project Team to accomplish all the Specific Work Responsibilities listed herein in a timely manner, and in working with all the groups and organizations listed above. Timely communications with the Project Team and all Stakeholders is essential to a successful project
