Job Summary:

The Process Engineer will support and develop engineering and optimization opportunities to maximize plant profitability, reliability, and safety. The role involves providing technical support to all company assets and ensuring safe plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the development of process engineering and optimization opportunities aimed at improving plant performance, with a focus on maximizing value without compromising quality and safety.
• Work with other engineers and project teams to identify and resolve issues affecting asset integrity and reliability, ensuring a safe and continuous plant environment.
• Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle (Pre-FEED/FEED/Detail Design stages) to ensure quality and timely execution.
• Support financial evaluations of feasibility studies and engineering opportunities.
• Contribute to developing concept packages according to company project management systems.
• Participate in safety workshops, reviews, and value improvement initiatives.
• Review engineering documents (e.g., drawings, data sheets, specifications) produced by vendors, contractors, and consultants.
• Perform process engineering activities and create deliverables using relevant engineering software.
• Contribute to the development of technical and supply services contracts with licensors/vendors for cost optimization.
• Help implement and maintain department policies, procedures, and controls related to process engineering and optimization.

Key Relationships:

• Internal: Regular contact with engineers across various disciplines, operations, and support teams.
• External: Regular communication with external stakeholders, including consultants, vendors, and contractors.

Job Context and Challenges:

• The role is part of the Process Engineering & Optimization Section within the Facilities Engineering Division.
• The position requires developing techno-economic opportunities to improve plant performance while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• The engineer will provide subject matter expertise in troubleshooting and optimization to enhance plant reliability.

Key Accountabilities:

• Identify and develop engineering opportunities for plant optimization, focusing on reliability, safety, financial, and regulatory factors.
• Provide technical support to all assets, ensuring timely solutions for maintaining asset integrity and reliability.
• Contribute to project development across all stages, ensuring high-quality and flawless execution.
• Support economic evaluations of feasibility studies and engineering opportunities.
• Participate in safety workshops, cold eye reviews, and value improvement initiatives.
• Review and validate engineering documents produced by external parties.
• Develop concept packages and support project management activities according to established systems.
• Contribute to cost optimization in technical and supply services contracts with external vendors.
• Support the development of policies, procedures, and controls within the Process Engineering and Optimization team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.

Experience and Knowledge:

• A minimum of 4 years of engineering experience in the oil and gas industry.

Skills:

• Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
• Proficient in relevant software tools and engineering specifications.
