Organizational Role
We are looking for a Sr. Applications Support Engineer to join our team, where you will work closely with Sales to ensure a smooth transition from the sales process to deployment and ongoing operations. In this role, you will develop comprehensive customer training content that provides a foundation for customized training that empower customer's management and personnel to quicky achieve success with NOV solutions. You will be a vital customer advocate engaging with our development teams for insights into how our products work, as well as a strong voice for enhancements that accelerate deployment and operations. This position also involves participation in a support rotation, where you can identify knowledge gaps and opportunities to continually improve our products and training.

We are looking for a Sr. Applications Support Engineer to join our team, where you will work closely with Sales to ensure a smooth transition from the sales process to deployment and ongoing operations. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver comprehensive customer training on-site and via videoconferencing.
- Operational technical expertise for our product portfolio, focused on how to effectively deploy and use our solutions.
- Represent "the voice of the customer" to NOV sales, development, and support teams.
- Deployments: Setup customers in NOV software applications environment in preparation for start of operations.
- Deployments: Communicate and coordinate with field engineering team for hardware installation needs.
- Delivery of technical solutions, including hands-on configuration and deployment of solution components.
- Develop workflows for managing completions data in both NOV systems and sync with customer's data systems
- Other duties as assigned
- Maintain a coordinated view of all training resources and engagements, collaborating with CSMs and supporting outbound webinars or social media "how-to" video content.
- Assess product changes and ensure updates to all relevant support documentation (internal and customer-facing, such as QSG, release notes, etc.).
- Mentor and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for training support team members. Assist in maintaining team competencies and supporting the creation of reference documentation.
- Participate in the support rotation, including after-hours support as needed.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree with engineering background, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in Product, Operational, or Engineering roles
- Field experience in completion operations (coil tubing, service rig, wireline, or frac) is required
- Customer-facing skills - written and verbal communication
- Ability to plan and coordinate training and deployments
- Proven ability to define client issues and leverage resources to solve problems
- General understanding of IT infrastructure concepts (servers, databases, security, etc.) is required
- Basic networking troubleshooting skills a plus
- Basic electronics troubleshooting skills a plus
