Your role and responsibilities
The Marine & Ports department develops advanced electrical and automation solutions for the maritime industry. With our innovative technology in the areas of energy, drives, and automation, our systems have been meeting the high demands of marine and offshore applications for decades. Within the Marine & Ports department, you will be working in the projects team. The international team consists of multiple project managers and project engineers. In your role, you will have the opportunity to work in an internationally oriented organization and contribute to a wide range of challenging projects, such as shore-to-ship systems. The project team works on both ship systems and shore systems, but always within the maritime sector. The projects are executed using our own product lines. Your role and responsibilities: You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and commissioning advanced power system solutions. Each day, you will collaborate with a dynamic team to ensure all engineering activities are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Your main responsibilities include: • Translating customer requirements and specifications into functional and technical designs. • Engineering and verifying project-specific low-voltage (LV), medium-voltage (MV), power generation and distribution systems. • Applying System Engineering principles to ensure end-to-end coherence and functionality of designs. • Preparing and supervising internal and external functional and acceptance tests. • Leading on-site commissioning activities, including guiding and supervising service engineers both locally and internationally. • Ensuring compliance with relevant standards (e.g., IEC, marine classification societies).

Qualifications for the role
- We are looking for someone with the following qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of low-voltage and medium-voltage power generation and distribution systems. Knowledge of frequency converters is a plus.
- Familiarity with ABB Relion series protection relays is a plus.
- Experience with System Engineering methodologies and understanding how complex systems interconnect.
- A hands-on attitude, high sense of responsibility, and a customer-oriented mindset.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to travel internationally now and then.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Autcad/Eplan and ETAP
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken; knowledge of Dutch is an advantage.
