JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood (trading locally as WOOD KSS LLP) is currently recruiting for Graduate / Associate Mechanical Engineer (KZ passport holders) to join our team in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist Lead / Senior Mechanical Engineer in Basic Design / Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and Detailed Design (DD) phase of the projects for any project related to process plants such as oil & gas production, refinery / petrochemical units, ammonia, ethylene, mineral processing, specialty chemicals, refined products, pipeline, water treatment, etc.
• Carry out various engineering activities as part of the above
• Development of mechanical data sheets, requisitions, SDRLs
• Development of mechanical equipment schemes
• Providing support for Procurement Team (relative to mechanical equipment)
• Participate in SID reviews, design review, constructability review
• Perform all conventional design work of the functional area under general supervision
• Perform work which involves conventional engineering practice but may include a variety of complex features such as resolution of conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements
• Devise new approaches to problems encountered

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
