You will join a team responsible for driving automation and orchestration across our department. We develop and deliver strategies, ways of working, and accelerate our infrastructure products by being an integral part of these products until we reach our goals.
As a member of our Automation and Orchestration Team, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on Vestas' infrastructure users and developers by improving their overall experience.
In the Automation and Orchestration Team, you will be engineering and improving our infrastructure products that are used to provision Vestas' infrastructure solutions. Our department is fully hybrid, working primarily with Azure Cloud and enterprise on-premises data center solutions.

Working in our Automation and Orchestration Team requires a solid technical understanding of the cloud. However, a good understanding of on-premises data center technologies is also beneficial, as many cloud workloads are hybrid in nature and integrate with on-premises solutions.

Responsibilities
In your position as a Site Reliability Engineer, your primary responsibilities will be to
- Automate and streamline infrastructure products to reduce the load of "traditional" operations work
- Enable and mentor the product teams so they can work with you on automation development
- Manage CI/CD orchestration, enabling Vestas product teams to deliver (e.g. automation of builds, tests, deployments to environments)
- Provide feedback regarding development and/or engineering methodologies, standards, and leading practices
- Maintain and promote the DevOps culture and ways of working across our department
Qualifications
Working in our Automation and Orchestration Team requires a solid technical understanding of the cloud. However, a good understanding of on-premises data center technologies is also beneficial, as many cloud workloads are hybrid in nature and integrate with on-premises solutions.
You have
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role or operating experience in Cloud Services, preferably in a DevOps team
- Comfortable with a range of programming languages and technologies (e.g. Terraform, Ansible, Python, Golang)
- Solid experience working within one or more major cloud service providers (e.g., Azure and/or AWS)
- A good understanding of the software development lifecycle methodologies and demonstrated DevOps skills
- Experience with agile development methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe is beneficial
- Coding/scripting knowledge for automating infrastructure provisioning
