Duration: initial 12-month contract (extendable)
Location: Jakarta, Indonesia residential full time


Min. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Pipeline Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.

Advanced degrees (e.g., MSc in Subsea Engineering, Offshore Engineering, or Pipeline Engineering) are advantageous.
- Min. 12 years’ experience in pipeline and subsea design and specification, including considerable practical experience in the fabrication and installation of offshore facilities.
- Experience of working as part of a multi discipline team for facilities engineering projects and/or offshore development projects.

Specific Competencies Required
-Proficiency in design and analysis tools:
ANSYS or other FEA tools for stress analysis.
Pipeline-specific software like PipeSim, OLGA, CAESAR II, or Offpipe.
-Strong understanding of Subsea pipeline routing and geotechnical analysis, Flow assurance principles and thermal hydraulics, and Installation engineering techniques.
-Familiarity with cathodic protection and coating systems.
-Certifications (preferred but not mandatory):
-Certification in pipeline engineering or relevant professional bodies (e.g., ASME, API, IMechE).
-Project management certifications (e.g., PMP) can be advantageous.
-Offshore safety certifications such as BOSIET or HUET.
-Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
-Effective communication and collaboration skills.
-Capability to work in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
-Deep understanding of subsea and deepwater pipeline challenges:
-Extreme pressure and temperature environments.
-Subsea geohazards (e.g., mudslides, fault lines).
-Advanced pipeline monitoring and intervention technologies.
