Architectural Technologist

This role can be based in either Vancouver, BC or Toronto, Ontario

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Architectural Technologist to join our rapidly growing team - plenty of room for upward movement and personal growth with AtkinsRealis Architecture & Design Canada Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architecture, architectural technology, building sciences and a passion for innovative design solutions. You will work on projects through all phases and be involved in collaboration with clients, managers and consultant teams. This is a great opportunity for an individual that is looking for long-term growth, strong mentorship and interest in designing highly complex institutional facilities.

Your role within the team:

• Developing designs and technical solutions.
• Prepare complete design drawing packages for presentations, permits, tender, and construction.
• Knowledge of construction methodology, building assemblies, building science, materials application and interpretation of manufacturers' requirements.
• Utilize proficient Revit skills to develop detailed architectural plans.
• Apply comprehensive understanding of Building Codes and civic planning processes.
• Demonstrate flexibility with tasks and priorities to meet project deadlines.
• Collaborate effectively with co-workers, maintaining a congenial attitude.

The ideal candidate:

• Architectural Technologist degree from an accredited Canadian institution.
• Minimum of 3-6 years of North American experience.
• Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written.
• Proficient in Revit and other supporting software.
• Strong background with Institutional projects.
• Must be either registered with an architectural association or eligible to be registered with an architectural association in Canada, as an architect and/or architectural technologist.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to participate and collaborate effectively in project team settings.

Compensation Range:

Expected compensation for this role is between $65,000 - $70,000 annually. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, location, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
