Engineering Manager I
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the Electrification Services product line at our site in Florence, SC. In this role, you will be working on retrofitting designs for our Low Voltage (LV) product line. Displaying strong leadership skills and demonstrable experience in design, quality, safety and compliance, and new product development and implementation. The work model for the role is onsite. #LI-Onsite This role is contributing to the Electrification Service division in Florence, SC. You will be mainly accountable for: • • Support the product line design, development, and manufacturing implementation of engineering programs that meet business standards and program / product requirements. • Plan, execute, and report on the technical design, schedule, and test results of a program with guidance from senior engineering resources. • Design, develop, analyze, and document product designs which meet the functional, cost, reliability, manufacturability, and safety requirements of the customer or market. • Demonstrate conformance to Product Technical Specifications and international standards using Design for Six Sigma and Design for Reliability methodologies. Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures. • Create and maintain technical documentation for all design work and present material for technical review including but not limited to tolerance loops, drawings, bill of materials, product cost, problem and action lists, risk management, and Failure root cause analysis reviews. • Execute designs with solid modeling software (PTC Creo / Windchill) to create models, assemblies, detailed drawings, and BOMs for designs which may include plastic, stamped metal, and electrically conductive parts. • Support manufacturing implementation of products through Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA). • Develop and execute test plans including prototype design and assembly and root cause analysis.

Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred
- 2+ years of engineering experience.
- Experience with 2D and 3D CAD software design, modeling, and Bills of Materials (BOM)
- Familiarity with mechanical design for mechanisms, thermal, and structural performance.
- Proven ability to analyze test data and solve design issues.
- Ability and interest in working hands-on to assemble, test, and identify root cause.
- Up to 5% limited domestic travel may be required
