We are seeking a Planning and Reporting Engineer to join our client's project team in Paris, France for a 12-month initial contract, supporting 2 oil & gas development projects, offshore Nigeria.
Role Overview
- Act as the primary interface between contractor planning departments, package leads, and the project team.
- Monitor contractor schedules and reports.
- Handle project reporting and provide support for project communication.
- Manage planning interfaces with other disciplines, project entities, and corporate planning.
- Align work methods and practices across packages in collaboration with package planners.
- Perform quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis for the project.
- Develop and maintain the project Master Control Schedule (MCS).
- Manage planning tool needs within the project.
- Coordinate project reports and distribute them to relevant parties.
- Provide support for project communication and ensure consistency in schedule and progress information used in presentations.
- Review and analyze contractors' scheduling and planning documents.
- Monitor the progress of project activities.
- Elaborate a management-type plan.
- Verify milestones and identify potential delays, proposing corrective actions.
- Consolidate scheduling information for analysis and reporting.
- Oversee the project schedule and inform all parties of the overall status, highlighting any anomalies and providing detailed analysis as needed.
- Interface with affiliate's planning and Pre-ops/Operations planning.
- Assist with recruitment processes for planning positions in the project.
- Provide planning support to packages without dedicated planning positions.
- Identify needs and make planning tools available for the project.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in oil and gas engineering and construction, with strong experience on construction projects.
- Sound knowledge of planning techniques, including scheduling software (Primavera, MS Project) and management software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience in supervision/management of personnel.
- Fluency in English is mandatory.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
- ITIL or relevant Microsoft certifications advantageous.
- Substantial professional experience in oil and gas engineering and construction.
