Responsibilities
Subsea7 is hiring a Planner who shall be part of the Planning department resource pool. The role is responsible for the provision of planning functions relative to Projects and Tenders including baseline set-up, updates, progress reporting and monitoring, forecasting, interfacing with other disciplines.
These shall include but not be limited to the following:
• Develop comprehensive schedules for project and tender, including scope, milestones and timelines in accordance with the client and company planning procedures
• Propose project and tender specific procedures including work breakdown structure and progress measurement methods in accordance with company requirements
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to gather necessary inputs for planning and scheduling activities
• Monitor project progress and identify potential risks and delays, providing recommendations for mitigation
• Conduct regular reviews and updates to project schedules to ensure alignment with project objectives and deadlines
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety regulations throughout the project planning and execution phases
• Support tender activity when applicable, prepare all deliverables in accordance with Client, Subsea7 and GPC-EAST planning procedures and review ITT for qualifications; be pro-active and propose plan and solution to tender team.
• Prepare reports as requested; progress, critical paths, float management, deviations, forecast
• Prepare schedules as requested and by anticipation, proposing scenarios; detailed schedules, what-if simulations/ scenarios
• Keep record of main changes made to schedules through various revisions on tender/ project.
• Record and back-up all as-built and lesson learned, official and working document to ensure benchmark and handover
• Actively work together with other Project Controls disciplines to ensure quality in deliverables
What experience would we like you to have?
Required Experience and Education
• Professional qualifications - Education equivalent to a degree in engineering and administrative discipline
• Software: Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
• Relevant previous experience at an appropriate level in the subsea (SURF) or offshore environment - Recommended
• Relevant previous experience at an appropriate level in planning (> 5 years recommended)
• Good level of English (French: Desired)
Skills
• Pro-active and open in communication with all interfacing parties
• Autonomous & team player
• Good analytical skills and attention to detail to effectively manage project schedules and identify potential issues
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders
Knowledge
• Knowledge in key areas of planning techniques and analysis
• Understanding of current Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, and Offshore Installation processes in the Oil and Gas Sector
