General Position Summary: Support development of energy conservation projects through on-site auditing, engineering analysis, understanding of energy/mechanical systems, and other design disciplines to produce coordinated drawings and specifications for pricing and construction. Assist preconstruction with updating estimating software and pricing database.Essential Job Functions:1. Support Lead Engineers on design and building energy modeling.2. Assist preconstruction in implementing estimating database pricing.3. Review drawings and submittals.4. Ensure design changes are documented and issued to project management.5. Assist regular on-site reviews and produce engineering construction reports.6. Assist Project Management during closeout of work (commissioning, as-built drawings).7. Support the energy services with design services and technical assistance.8. Regular attendance and promptness are considered part of each employee's essential job functions.9. Assist energy design team with performing various design calculations. Secondary Job Functions: None.Skills Required to Perform the Essential Duties of the Job: 1. Strong verbal & written communication skills.2. Professional and ethical.3. Ability to effectively multi-task with attention to detail.4. Flexibility to change gears and re-prioritize tasks under pressure and to similarly motivate staff to do the same.5. Good organizational skills.6. Willing to work with other employees in a team.7. CAD experience - ability to plot drawings and make minor revisions to existing drawings.8. Computer skills - competent with spreadsheets and word processor programs.
Supervisory Responsibility : None.Education Requirements Needed to Perform the Essential Duties of the Job: • Minimum 3 rd Year College Engineering Student.
