JOB DESCRIPTION

The engineering division of Technip Energies' (TEN) Paris office has 60 years of experience in energy project design and is made up of 600 people representing all the disciplines of our installations (>20).

The Piping Calculation and Support department is looking for a Piping Flexibility Calculation Engineer F/M to participate in the engineering and design of international projects carried out by TEN France for the group's various business lines: decarbonized solutions (CO2 capture, H2, Wind), LNG or biofuels.

As a Piping Flexibility Calculation Engineer, you will have the following main tasks:

Carry out thermomechanical dimensioning calculations for piping lines in accordance with French, European or American standards.

Provide in-house technical support to the "designers" (general installation and piping draughts men) for the definition of layouts and associated support.

Participating in design reviews for validation and optimization.

Participating in the specification, design and purchase of pipe supports.

Analyzing pressurized components for static, fatigue and thermal properties using analytical or Finite Element calculations (modelling, simulation and post-processing in accordance with current standards and regulations).

Identify and justify technical solutions.

Write technical specifications for studies and/or modifications to piping and supports.

Implementing IT tools to automate dimensioning.

Drawing up calculation notes for presentation to the certification body (checking the associated justification files).

The position involves occasional travel in France and abroad.

Profile required:

Higher education graduate in mechanical engineering

First successful experience in engineering for industrial projects

Proficiency in one of the following software: Caesar, FEpipe/Nozzle Pro, ANSYS Mechanical

Fluent French, good level of English

Good analytical skills, proactivity, adaptability.

Your career perspective:

You could progress to Contract Manager, Flexibility Calculation Manager or Installation Manager.

Eventually, and depending on your wishes, you may move towards a position as an expert in your field, towards management or engineering functions in the field of project, estimation or construction.
