This position reports to

Local Division Manager

Your role and responsibilities

Mission Perform field technicians with safety and work planning, monitoring, documentation, technical support, and other activities during on-site repair or trouble shooting for Metallurgy and IAPI product/solution in domestic steel customer site, fully collaborate with feeder factory. Involved from pre-sales to handover, having total responsibility of execution through project life cycle to fulfill customer requirement and deliver ABB product and service successfully with customer satisfaction. Project management shall have whole accountability of scope/schedule/cost/health safety and environment management in accordance with ABB policy. Project manager shall collaborate with several feeder factories located in oversea and shall handle metallurgy product and IAPI product/solution such as electrical magnetic stirrer, frequency converter, water station, transformer, PLCs and so on. Role 1. Safety - Always safety is the first priority for all activity in entire workflow. - Encourage/lead team member to increase their motivation for safety. - Prepares any site work according to customer's unique work environment. - Informs all member at site on scope of supply, schedule and agreements with customer and on safety documentation and safety coordination with the customer and subcontractors. 2. Field Activities - Commissioning activity for newly sold products and service/trouble shooting for ABB install base by him or herself and/or utilizing 3rd party field engineers. - Perform diagnoses technical problems, determines corrective actions, and fully collaborate with customer and feeder factory. - Execute trouble shooting fully collaborating with all parties, customer, team member and feeder factory to meet customer technical demands with reasonable quick response though all the time and day. 3. Project execution and control - Ensures that the project follows execution best practices and ABB HSE policies. - Effectively monitors and controls project progress and efficient resource utilization. - Monitors and controls project financials, invoicing status, cost, expenses and cash flow. - Identifies, qualifies, quantifies and manages project risks, and close the project with customer satisfaction. Captures, analyses and shares lessons learned throughout the project. 4. Planning and scheduling - Prepares necessary safety, technical and instruction documentation/report in accordance with ABB safety procedures and legal requirements. - Ensures safely, timely and cost-effective planning of on-site technicians in accordance with contract, trouble and/or single service requests, collaborate with feeder factory. - Prepares all material needed for on-site activities and ensures its arrival to site per the realistic schedule. 5. Customer Focus - Appropriate, timely communication and handling of claims with the customer. - Mindset to take responsibility to solve customer issue/trouble shooting/leads anytime. 6. Productivity - Considers various methods in which to improve the productivity for his own task and that of the entire team. - Identifies opportunities for quality improvement of products and systems, and feeds back to appropriate internal and external stakeholders to ensure improvements as a team. 7. Collaboration - Collaborate among own team member and also cross group, feeder factory, domestic subcontractor in order to deliver maximum sales result for his/her team and others. 8. Sales support - Support sales activity to provide technical advice / comment on enquiry specifications with his/her experience and ABB products/systems/ applications. - Provides technical support during the technical meeting, product presentations and negotiations.

Qualifications for the role

  • Work experience and knowledge
  • Understanding on importance of Integrity, Health, Safety and Environment
  • At least 3 years experiences of site engineer
  • Knowledge of electrical product like frequency converter
  • Knowledge of documentation and drawing related to electrical
  • Basic knowledge of documentation and drawing related to mechanical
  • Capability of pressure self-management and leader ship
  • Knowledge of electrical product like PLC (Preferred)
  • Young candidate (Mid of 30 or younger) is preferred
  • Skills
  • Native level of Japanese
  • English proficiency both in written and oral
  • Japanese driver license with drive experience
