Are you a Mechanical Completion Engineer with experience in FPSO projects? This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in mechanical completion planning, execution, and coordination, ensuring seamless handover and compliance with project and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Mechanical Completion Planning & Preparation
- Develop and manage project mechanical completion (MC) deliverables in line with client and project requirements.
- Prepare key documentation, including Inspection & Test Record (ITR) portfolio, MC & Commissioning Handover Management documents, and ITR assignment matrix.
- Define MC procedures and methodologies, ensuring alignment with company and client expectations.
- Attend Supplier Kick-Off Meetings (KOMs) to communicate MC requirements.
- Oversee ITR processes for major vendor packages and semi-modules, including those completed at vendor sites.
- Review tag registers from engineering and suppliers/subcontractors, resolving discrepancies in collaboration with relevant teams.
- Validate piping test pack registers and piping joint ID registers with QA/QC teams.
- Manage and maintain data within the Completion Management System (CMS), ensuring proper ITR and certificate assignments.
- Provide CMS training and rollout sessions to project teams and subcontractors.
Mechanical Completion Execution
- Track and update project changes, ensuring alignment within CMS.
- Generate weekly MC & Punch List reports and support construction progress meetings.
- Supervise daily ITR & Punch List updates in CMS, providing assistance to site teams as required.
- Coordinate and close Supplier Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) punch items.
- Organise punch walkdown preparations at key project milestones, ensuring proper certificate sign-off.
- Document lessons learned and share insights for continuous improvement.
- Compile Mechanical Completion Dossiers (MCDs) and System Completion Dossiers (SCDs) for final handover.
- Archive project handover documentation, including ITRs, certificates, commissioning procedures, and registers, in the Document Management System.
Mechanical Completion Coordination
- Participate in engineering team meetings to address tag-related issues.
- Independently liaise with vendors and subcontractors to resolve completion database queries and implement solutions.
- Work with engineering, construction, QA/QC, and commissioning teams to ensure ITRs align with commissioning priorities.
- Capture and implement lessons learned and best practices from past FPSO projects.
Relationship & Team Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with client technical teams and service personnel.
- Foster a collaborative, motivated team environment, supporting multi-disciplinary and multicultural team members.
- Report in accordance with the Corporate/Project Organisation Chart.
HSEQ & Compliance
- Adhere to HSEQ policies and standards, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Promote compliance with MODEC's Code of Business Conduct & Ethics, ensuring project activities align with legal and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technical College Certificate.
Experience
- 4+ years in EPC of onshore/offshore oil & gas or FPSO projects.
- Mechanical Completion & Commissioning experience on at least two FPSO projects (marine and topside modules).
Technical Competencies
- Proficiency in Completion Management Systems (CMS) such as WinPCS, ICAPS, PIMS, CEMIC, Go-Completion.
- Experience with PDF Writer, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD (basic).
- Strong FPSO system site completion execution background.
- Knowledge of mechanical completion processes, project management, QA/QC, and HSSE requirements.
