JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood (trading locally as WOOD KSS LLP) is currently recruiting for an Instrument Engineer with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry to join our team in Atyrau/Almaty/Astana, Kazakhstan (for KZ passport holders).

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Under direct supervision, independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications
• With additional experience within one functional area, assists in the design of larger and more complex assignments which involve conventional types of plans, investigations and surveys with relatively few complex features for which there are precedents
• Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations
• Assignments usually include one or more of the following:
• Preparation of manhour estimates
• Progress reporting and planning
• Specification and procurement of field instrument actuated valves
• Preparation of construction scopes of work
• Provide technical direction for instrument designers

QUALIFICATIONS

• engineering degree in related field
• proficient user of relevant software and calculation templates
• work experience in the respective position no less than 3-5 years
• experience in developing design documentation in accordance with RoK regulatory documents
• experience on projects within EPC contract (Engineering, Supply and Construction)
