EngineeringAs Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner NES Advantage is now looking for: Construction Planners with experience in onshore or offshore projects.
The project is based in Stord and requires on-site work, with the option to work either Monday to Thursday with extended hours or a standard Monday to Friday 37.5-hour work week.
Aker Solutions’ New Build segment delivers oil & gas and renewables offshore developments and fabrication products, mainly focused on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and selective international markets. The segment is responsible for large EPCI projects, both within oil and gas and renewables, including business development and project execution, typically large topsides including fixed or floating substructures, onshore facilities, FPSOs offshore wind HVDC topside and jackets, offshore aquaculture floaters and decommissioning and recycling.

What will you be doing?
- Overseeing project schedules for all construction disciplines throughout all phases.
- Planning and calculating the number of personnel needed on modules during different assembly stages.
- Ensuring compliance with project requirements and company procedures.
- Managing schedules and resources for specific disciplines.
- Implementing projects to improve work efficiency.
- Maintaining a high focus on personnel density.
- Monitoring progress based on the approved schedule.
- Controlling schedule changes due to delays, resource limitations, or other factors.
- Performing re-scheduling as necessary to secure the overall project timeline.
- Analyzing impacts of changes on disciplines and staffing.
Qualifications we think you should have:
- Background in piping, EIT, or methods, as the job involves planning installations.
- Multidisciplinary knowledge from the oil & gas industry, particularly in piping and EIT.
- Skilled worker, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in mechanical/piping or EIT engineering. Relevant experience may compensate for lack of formal education.
- Strong understanding of time management and staffing to maintain control over modules and personnel.
- Capability to address complex problems by integrating skills from different disciplines to develop comprehensive solutions.
- Ability to acquire detailed knowledge of the project scope and manage various disciplines within planning and methods.
- Fluency in Norwegian is preferred, but English is also acceptable.
- Proficiency in Office 365 and general IT tools. Familiarity with MIPS and Naviswork is a plus.
