We are currently seeking a Senior Engineer - Weight Control to join our team based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

About The Job

Support Engineering Manager/Lead Structural Engineer and takes the ownership of the Weight Control tasks in a project:

- Prepare project specific weight control procedure for affected parties such as vendor and etc

- Coordination / interface with disciplines/ vendor /sub-contract for weight control report requirement.

- Perform and issue weight control report

- Collate past weight control reports and perform initial estimation of platform/module/jacket weights in the conceptual and early Feed Phase.

Correctness of Center of gravity and weight estimation as presented in weight control report

Ensure timely submission of weight control report

Ensure correct correlation of weight, contingency and coordinate reference basis across vendor, subcontractor,

fabricator captured in the weight control procedure

Meets quality objectives of project.

About you:

Must have:

• Engineering Degree in Civil or Structural.
• Minimum 3.3 in CGPA or 2nd Class Upper.
• Minimum 6 As in SPM with As in Maths, Physics, Chemistry and minimum B in English

Analysis and Tools

• Microsoft Excel, Microsoft access or any weight control data base tools

Fixed offshore platform weight control

• Wellhead platform
• Modular platform ie:-Living Quarters, Compression, Utilities
• Integrated platform
• Floatover and lift installed platform

Floaters

• FPSO, FSO, FLNG, Modules and hull integration

Nice to have:

Analysis and Tools

- user of following software

- SACS

- STAAD-PRO

Miscellaneous structural design

- Knowledge of miscellaneous steel structural design
