Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to ABB's success with technology, software, product, and system development. Each day, you will identify and implement innovative solutions to relevant problems. You will also showcase your expertise by providing ideas and by being able to work both independently and as a part of a Research & Development (R&D) team. The work model for the role is: #LI-Onsite This role is contributing to the Electrification business Smart Power division in Hyderabad, India. You will be mainly accountable for: • Should be a team player to work with cross functional and multinational teams, nderstand product requirements and derive technical requirements • Design electronic circuits, Simulation, Selection of components and prototype building • Interacting with sourcing, contract manufacturing and making product line setup at plants • Responsible for making test setups, qualifying the product by conduction functional, Reliability and EMI/EMC tests • Competitor product benchmarking and contribution to product roadmap, Generate and Protect IP ( Intellectual property ) • Participate in design reviews and provide suggestions for improving the quality of products • Work on new product introduction ( NPI ), Quality and C- Change projects, Interacting with sourcing, contract manufacturing and making product line setup at plants.

Qualifications for the role

• M.E/ M.Tech from in Power electronics, Embedded, instrumentation etc, BE / B.Tech in ECE, EEE , E&I from reputed colleges like BITS, NIT, IIT etc
• Minimum 4 years of experience in electronics product design and testing.
• Hardware circuit design and testing experience in power supply, gate driver, analog sensing, digital input/outputs .
• Testing experience of communication circuits of RS485, USB, CAN, MODBUS, Ethernet etc
• Worked with EEPROM, RTC, Microcontroller, Microprocessor etc
• Experience in use of simulation tools like Pspice, SIMetrix, Matlab, Saber.
• Experience in qualification of product for Reliability, EMI/EMC and Agency certification
• Knowledge on PCB layout tool like Cadence, PCB layer Stack up, DFM, DFT etc.
