Electrical & Instrumentation Quality Inspector - Wesseling

On behalf of a major EPC, WRS are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Quality Inspector to join our team on a contract basis in Wesseling, Germany. This position is 100% site-based and is open to self-employed professionals who possess the existing right to work in Germany. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that construction activities comply with project quality requirements, standards, and specifications.

The position is being offered on a 9 month contract, paying an hourly rate in Euro.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee Electrical & Instrumentation (including Telecoms) construction activities to ensure compliance with project codes, standards, and specifications.
• Conduct inspections, monitoring, and sign-offs to verify contractor work meets the required quality standards.
• Approve incoming electrical and instrumentation materials and equipment by assessing specifications, conducting visual and dimensional checks, and ensuring quality documentation is in place.
• Participate in Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) inspections, ensuring results are accurately recorded in the Completions Management System.
• Support the preparation and submission of project quality records.
• Monitor contractor and vendor performance, ensuring compliance with quality control objectives.
• Provide guidance, direction, and support to the Construction Management Team, Contractors, Vendors, and Clients on site quality requirements.
• Address and resolve site quality issues and deputize for the Quality Lead as required.
• Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
• Support Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE) programs, ensuring objectives and targets are met.
• Attend construction, contractor, and third-party meetings as necessary.

Candidate Requirements

• Fluent in German (spoken and written) with a good understanding of spoken English.
• Proven experience in Electrical & Instrumentation quality inspection within the petrochemical, oil, and gas industries.
• Recognized Quality certification in Electrical & Instrumentation.
• Right to work in Germany
• Further education in Quality Management is preferred; however, equivalent experience and training will be considered.
• Strong ability to consult, communicate, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and contractors.
