EngineeringAirswift has been tasked by one of our major Oil and Gas clients to seek a Mechanical Engineer to work on initially 1 year contract in New Braunfels.
MAIN FUNCTIONS:
This Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for Engineering and designing Equipment and packages for CO2 liquefaction Plants, Industrial refrigeration systems, and LNG Plants.

This Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for Engineering and designing Equipment and packages for CO2 liquefaction Plants, Industrial refrigeration systems, and LNG Plants.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work independently to assist in the design and development of equipment required to meet customer's needs or market demands
- Perform Mechanical design calculations for Compressors, Pumps, Heat Exchanger, Columns, Vessels, Tanks, Separators, Dehydration Units, Skids, etc.
- Develop engineering documentation such as datasheets, drawings, or other required data
- Interface with multiple vendors, third-party contractors and inspectors to meet schedule and deliverables.
- Utilize current manufacturing/business systems for cost, inventory and purchasing information
- Take ownership for deliverables produced and their quality
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical, or relevant technical degree from reputable institute is required
- 5+ years of overall Mechanical Engineering experience in Oil & Gas industry is required
- Having a basic understanding of the technical aspects of mechanical engineering and design
- Fundamental knowledge in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Office software
- Ability to travel 20% or more during the years for work on site locations required.
