We are looking for a Cost Control Engineer for one of our clients with the following details:

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Duration: 12 Months

Qualification and Experience Required:

• Relevant Experience: 6 Years Minimum
• Language Preference: English and Arabic
• Certification Required: Certified Cost Professional (CCP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) are highly preferred
• GCC Work Experience: At least 5 years
• Software Knowledge: MS Office, experience with advanced cost management software and tools, such as Primavera P6
• Other requirement: Must have experience in any EPC or EPCM projects

• Proficiency in cost management software (e.g., SAP, Primavera) is crucial for effective tracking and reporting. Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail are necessary to accurately assess financial data.
• Excellent communication abilities to convey complex cost information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven experience in risk management and mitigation strategies to handle potential cost escalations.
• Develop and maintain detailed project cost estimates that reflect the actual scope and schedule of oil and gas construction projects.
• Implement robust cost control processes to track expenditures against budget and identify variances in real-time. Conduct thorough risk assessments to forecast potential cost overruns and propose mitigation strategies proactively.
• Collaborate with engineering and procurement teams to ensure accurate pricing of materials and labor for project execution.
• Prepare and present detailed cost reports and forecasts to stakeholders, providing insights for informed decision-making.
• Utilize advanced software tools for cost management, ensuring data accuracy and real-time reporting capabilities.
• Facilitate budget reviews and audits, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
• Assist in contract negotiations, providing cost analysis to secure favourable terms for the organization. Monitor project progress and performance metrics, adjusting cost estimates and forecasts as necessary.
