Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced EPC Package Manager to join a dynamic project management team. In this role, you will oversee the delivery of specific packages within an assigned project, ensuring timely execution, adherence to budget, and compliance with Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) as well as Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) standards. This role requires close collaboration with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to drive progress and maintain control over the project's performance.
Core Responsibilities
- Package Coordination: Coordinate with the client to ensure the timely delivery of the assigned EPC packages, aligning schedules and requirements.
- Engineering & Procurement Management: Oversee the engineering and procurement activities of selected packages, working alongside relevant teams to ensure smooth package execution from RFQ to PO issue.
- Schedule Management: Ensure that vendor deadlines, project-critical documents, and engineering milestones are achieved according to the agreed project schedule, addressing delays as needed.
- Progress Monitoring: Regularly review vendor progress reports, updated schedules, and sub-order status to ensure the package is delivered without delays or issues.
- Vendor Liaison: Organise and monitor vendor presence at critical project meetings such as HAZOP, design reviews, and 3D model reviews.
- Inspection Coordination: Ensure that inspections comply with Purchase Order (PO) and the approved inspection plan, working closely with QA/QC.
- Site Visits & FATs: Organise vendor visits and monitor progress at their facilities, ensuring progress is tracked, and engineering approvals and FATs are completed on schedule.
- Change Management: Manage and monitor changes in vendor scope, work orders, and variation orders, ensuring they do not impact project timelines or budgets.
- Project Integration: Work with yard construction teams to ensure timely delivery and integration of packages with the overall construction schedule.
- Issue Resolution: After package delivery to the yard, manage the resolution of any carryover work, FAT punch points, or site observation issues, ensuring timely closure.
- Technical Support: Provide ongoing technical support during the commissioning phase of the project, offering assistance where required.
- Budget & Schedule Control: Monitor the project’s budget and schedule, implementing change management processes as necessary to ensure project delivery within scope.
- Team Manning: Ensure adequate staffing levels for the package delivery team and conduct regular reviews of resource needs.
Qualifications & Experience Required
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Packaging Science, or related field.
- Professional Certification: PMP certification is a plus.
- Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry, particularly in EPC projects or similar sectors.
- Proven experience (minimum 8 years) in managing EPC packages or equivalent projects.
