We are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant for one of our clients with the following details:

Location- Doha, Onshore

End Date: 31-DEC-2026

Qualification and Experience Required:

Experience/Knowledge/Technical skills

• Excellent organizing abilities, great attention to detail, good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen.
• Flexible and pro-active
• Team player and good interpersonal skills
• Analytical approach and proactive attitude, rigorous accuracy
• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices (IFRS in particular)
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and methodologies
• Proficient in tools like SAP/ Excel/PowerPoint
• A minimum of 6-8 years relevant experience in a similar field, in Oil & Gas

Qualifications/Education/Certifications

• Professional Accounting Certificate (ACCA, ACMA, CA, CPA, CMA)
• Graduation in Accounting / Finance
• Fluent in English.

Activities

HSE

• Knowledge and observance of Company HSE policy, rules and procedures
• Participations to HSE activities and HSE trainings

IFRS16 Focal Point

• Main focal point within the General Accounting Team to handle all IFRS16 related clarifications and interpretations.
• Responsible for the preparation of IFRS16 related entries and their analysis.

Master Data Related Tasks

• Responsible and main focal point for the Cost Object (Work Breakdown Structure elements, Cost elements, General Ledger accounts, Cost Centers, Internal orders and related) creation and maintenance in the Company in line with the policies and procedures of the Company.
• Liaise with Cost Control team to ensure the Master Data created is appropriate and suits business needs in line with the policies and procedures of the Company.

Fixed Asset Masterdata

• Focal point from the General Accounting Team for all aspects related to the maintenance and update of Fixed Assets
• Responsible for liaising with the technical functions and the Cost Controlling teams to obtain the needed data and update the same in SAP.
• Ensure that the Asset Register is designed, updated, and maintained per DFA/JVA and the shareholders requirements.

Period End Related Tasks

• Responsible to ensure the fixed assets are created accurately in SAP and the capitalization of assets are performed at the right level and the timing.
• Perform the sanity check on the depreciation calculation performed by SAP and any discrepancies are investigated and corrected in the system including the monthly update of reserves and production data in SAP.
• Responsible for all calculations related to Decommissioning and Asset Retirement obligations including Accretion/Depreciation calculations etc.
• Responsible for preparing relevant Balance sheet Reconciliations.
• Responsible for compliance with the relevant internal controls related to the above activities.
• Responsible for the preparation of monthly reporting deliverables for contribution to the Month End Reporting Pack, in absence of the Senior Financial Accountant.
• Responsible to provide input to Financial Planning to develop the Month End Reporting Pack, in absence of the Senior Financial Accountant.
• Responsible for the preparation and coordination of Quarterly Reporting pack to company, in absence of the Senior Financial Accountant.

Cost control

• Monitor and control direct, indirect, and project costs.
• Perform variance analysis and prepare regular cost reports.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Track and analyze financial commitments and expenditures.
• Review and validate PRs, POs, and vendor invoices for cost accuracy and compliance with budget.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Finance, and Project teams to ensure P2P process efficiency.
• Contribute to monthly and year-end closure activities, including preparation of accruals.
• Ensure cost data integrity

Audit

• Assist the main focal point within the General Accounting team for liaising with internal and external auditors to ensure an efficient execution of their work in coordination with Compliance team.

Adhoc Tasks

• Any other tasks as requested by Lead, General Accounting
• Back up of Senior Financial Accountant representative in Closure Team
