You will be responsible for the knowledge within the technology domain of materials, welding, heat and surface treatments, coatings, corrosion prevention and allied processes. The role will be in charge of applicable standards, practices, procedures, technical specifications, both internally for the entire products life cycle (including Sustaining, NTD and NPD) and externally for customer's requirements. Within the confirmed experience, you will develop and advance new technologies from supporting case through application in a relevant production environment, providing technical support cross Functions, cross Regions and supports localizations and technology transfers.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- On Customer Requirements (Bid phase and Order Execution phase), as well as on NTD, NPD and other internal programs/initiatives, have a key role for the selection, development, verification, validation of the most appropriate technologies and in the preparation/control/approval of the needed documentation
- Understand/analyze/ keep up to the state of the art the knowledge of Market trends, International Standards and TR&S, Customer Standards, the capabilities of internal Labs, the qualifications of external Labs, maintain internal standards, design practices, procedures, templates
- Prepare/control/approve technical specifications for RAW (cast, forged, rolled, etc.) materials and the relevant fabrication processes, as well as for the welding consumables and for finished components (bolting, etc.), as well as for surface and heat treatment processes (painting, abrasive blasting, passivation, pickling, phosphating, etc.)
- Supports the qualification of Suppliers
- Support Fleet Issues and Non-Conformities resolution
- Perform FMEA activities and resolve root cause of failures using statistical methods
- Optimize processes associated with the domain technology/information flow
- Facilitate and participate in kaizen events, workshops, and value stream mapping exercises to identify waste elimination opportunities in various processes and recommend improvement actions
- Participate in Audits as per Customers requirements and/or Plant/Product certifications

For This Role, You Will Need:
- University master graduation in Materials Engineering, Materials Science, or equivalent field.
- Confirmed experience in the field, preferably in Oil & Gas, Power, or Nuclear segments.
- Proficiency in Italian language. Good technical English, both written and spoken.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power BI.
- Knowledge of painting for corrosion protection, welding, main Non-Destructive Testing techniques, and related topics, obtained through previous experience
- Appropriate knowledge and competence in domain technologies and related industries.
- Good organizational, project management, and presentation skills to interact with all levels within the organization and with suppliers and customers.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to recognize and handle problems in system design.
- Ability to lead numerous projects in a fast-paced engineering environment. Experience in optimizing processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Experience of Design for Manufacturing, Design of Experiment, Statistical Process Control, Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, Risk Matrix.
- Work both independently and in a team.
- Availability and documentation to travel to USA, Europe, Asia, Middle East
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- Experience in industrial valves, triple-offset, C-ball valves is preferred.
- Knowledge of main standards and Codes applicable to metallic and non-metallic materials, Welding, NDE, Surface Treatment, Painting, Pressure Vessels.
- Knowledge of metallurgy, with reference to steels and nickel alloys and their main manufacturing processes (casting, forging, rolling, etc.) as well as heat treatments.
- Basic knowledge of the standard and special tests of industrial valves for both production acceptance and design validation/qualification purposes, and of the relevant reference documents.
- A Coating Inspector certification (FROSIO, NACE or equivalent) is preferred.
- An IWE, IWT, IWI, IWS or CSWIP diploma is preferred.
- An NDT Operator's qualification level (to ISO 9712 or ANST TC-1A standards) is preferred.
- Experience with materials tools (Ansys Granta, etc.) desired.
- Practitioner of LEAN and application of LEAN tools is preferred.
- Knowledge of PLM and ERP systems.
- Strong mathematical demeanour to analyze various data sources and translate into information
