Vestas Technology & Operations (VTO) is where new product ideas are developed, matured, improved, and tested. Within VTO, you'll find our department, TOE - Electrical, as part of Turbine Operations Engineering.
The Service Module Lead is responsible for managing the service-related technical aspects of modular building block development. This role ensures that service requirements are effectively integrated into VTO module development projects while acting as the key link between service and development teams. Additionally, the Service Module Lead serves as the primary point of contact for all service-related matters concerning VTO modules and sub-modules, ensuring alignment between service needs and technical implementation.

The Service Module Lead is responsible for managing the service-related technical aspects of modular building block development. This role ensures that service requirements are effectively integrated into VTO module development projects while acting as the key link between service and development teams. Additionally, the Service Module Lead serves as the primary point of contact for all service-related matters concerning VTO modules and sub-modules, ensuring alignment between service needs and technical implementation.
Responsibilities
- Guide module development with design choices that align with the overall Service Strategy and "Design for Service" principles. Ensure Service considerations are integrated into Design Reviews, shaping service-related technology and design choices
- Act as the Service representative in Module and Sub-Module Peer Reviews as well as Technical Reviews
- Lead and encourage stakeholders to attain optimal design solutions across the full value chain. Develop and handle the Service Innovation & Initiative Backlog, while promoting and initiating new product initiatives
- Assist in resolving technical issues that impact Service operations
- Provide Module-level insights during the Architecture Phase
- Support modules by defining and allocating Service Requirements from the Service Product Requirements to Modules and Sub-Modules
- Assist in CAPEX vs. OPEX trade-off calculations to optimize serviceability and cost efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, Aerodynamics, or a related field
- 08-10 years of professional experience in the wind industry, with a focus on wind turbine product development and electrical components
- In-depth understanding of wind turbine control systems and their components
- Experience in running strategic initiatives and managing global continuous improvement projects
- A background in product development is valued
- Good written and spoken English proficiency, with the ability to communicate clearly across different levels
- A Project Management certification is beneficial
