Job Title: Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Contract Term: 12 months

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer to join a dynamic, multicultural team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing machinery-related deliverables for large-scale, complex projects. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient execution of engineering activities, with a focus on quality, safety, and cost-effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Machinery Deliverables: Prepare and review mechanical data sheets, equipment specifications, material requisitions, technical bid evaluations, and equipment selection reports.
• Schedule and Quality Management: Ensure that all machinery-related activities adhere to the project schedule, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
• Technical Recommendations: Review and approve technical recommendations related to machinery and equipment.
• Resource Management: Manage and control man-hours to ensure efficient use of resources throughout the project lifecycle.
• Cost-Effective Solutions: Propose and implement cost-effective solutions while maintaining engineering integrity.
• Collaboration with Other Departments: Work closely with lead engineers from other disciplines, as well as procurement and planning teams, to coordinate project activities.
• Compliance and Standards: Ensure that all deliverables comply with project QHSE plans and internal engineering processes and standards.
• Support to Discipline Department: Assist the department manager with various departmental activities and contribute to project close-out and lessons learned.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in oil and gas projects, with experience across conceptual, FEED, and EPC phases.
• Extensive experience in preparing the following deliverables:
  • Mechanical Data Sheets
  • Mechanical Equipment Specifications
  • Material Requisitions
  • Technical Bid Evaluations
  • Equipment Selection Reports
• Proven experience working as a Rotating Equipment Engineer throughout all project phases.
• Solid knowledge of process compressors, pumps, and their drivers. Experience with gas turbines and generators is desirable.
• Familiarity with international standards and knowledge of regional standards is an advantage.
• Experience working with OEMs, clients, project management teams, and auditors.
• Ability to make independent decisions with minimal supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, self-confidence, and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
