In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Perform risk and ergonomic assessments.
  • Provide employee training (PPE, hazard communication, environmental policies, etc.).
  • Execute safety and hygiene walks program to identify risks.
  • Manage internal and corporate platforms/databases.
  • Manage PPE and safety equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records for contractor entry.
  • Authorize permits for high-risk work when required.
  • Participate in accident investigations to determine root causes and propose corrective measures.
  • Participate in the management of key environmental programs (hazardous waste, air quality, wastewater discharge, etc.).

As an EHS Specialist, you push yourself to stay proactive in identifying risks and work towards achieving safety and compliance goals. You follow through on commitments related to EHS policies and ensure that others adhere to safety standards and procedures. You build strong formal and informal networks to foster a collaborative approach to safety across the organization.

You stay aligned with organizational safety goals and maintain productivity in driving environmental and health initiatives. You attentively listen to colleagues, responding to their concerns and fostering a culture of open communication about risks and safety practices.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Knowledge of municipal, state and federal EHS regulations (STPS, SEDUMA, SEMARNAT).
  • Knowledge of industrial processes.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the EHS field.
  • Bachelor's degree is a must.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
  • Development of interpersonal skills to interact with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Well organized and with strong attention to details.
  • High sense of responsibility.
  • Strong sense of urgency and ownership of your deliverables.


Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Intermediate English communication skills, both written and spoken is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent documentation practice.
  • Knowledge in CAD software is a plus.
