As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer II here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize production processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives.

You will be responsible for developing and improving heat exchanger processes for various applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of projects, from concept to production. Your expertise in heat transfer will be crucial in optimizing the manufacturing process performance and efficiency.

Operating and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high-quality precision parts. You will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate operation of the CNC machines, as well as troubleshooting any issues that may arise. Your expertise in CNC programming and machining will contribute to the production of complex components that meet the needs of our customers.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement welding processes and ensure the quality and efficiency of the welding operations. Your expertise and your ability to troubleshoot and resolve welding issues will be crucial in this role.

You will report directly to our Manufacturing Engineering Manager, and you'll work out of our Mexicali, Mexico location on a hybrid work schedule.

You will impact our manufacturing operations by optimizing production processes and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and oversee advanced manufacturing processes to ensure quality, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize production processes and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement advanced manufacturing technologies.
  • Analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions and projects.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to manufacturing teams.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in automation technologies.
  • Design and optimize welding methods.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement welding processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve welding issues.
  • Improve welding efficiency and reduce defects.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as engineering.
  • CNC programation Code G and Software Mazak, Mitsui, Okuma
  • Welding TIG/TIG
  • Proactive, Customer-oriented, Gemba, Hand-on and accountable approach.
  • Self-awareness, openness to provide and receive feedback and a structured career path in Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Able to elaborate with proficiency in english.
  • Accredited documents to travel abroad.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Proven experience in advanced manufacturing, process optimization, yield and productivity improvement.
  • Lead Time, Cycle Time and Non-Conforming Material reduction.
  • Experience operating and programming CNC machines.
  • Knowledge of CNC programming languages and machining processes.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
  • Experience with multi-axis CNC machines.
  • Knowledge of CAD/CAM software.
  • Direct numerical control (DNC).
  • Machining Transfers.
  • SAP ERP
