Starting Pay Range: $25 to $27/hour depending on your experience

Your Role as a Service Technician - Gas: Your day revolves around inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing various mechanical, electrical, and fuel issues on motorized power equipment. Your responsibilities include:
  • Performing service calls on the road and communicating with customers about equipment issues, maintenance plans, and work performed
  • Performing routine engine maintenance (lubricating parts, replacing spark plugs, testing and inspecting engines for malfunctioning parts, repairing and replacing worn/defective/broken parts, and reassembling and reinstalling components and engines following repairs)
  • Cleaning up tools and work areas after each project, keeping indoor and outdoor workstations clean and clear from obstructions, and maintaining clean and working service trucks
  • Prioritizing your work schedule, especially during busy seasonal times
  • Clearly communicating with the Service Supervisor and Parts department to ensure parts are ordered and received in a timely manner
  • Accurately record keeping, including inspections, test results, work performed, and parts used
  • Assisting as sales support if needed
  • Maintaining a safe and secure work environment by adhering to and striving to improve safety standards and reporting any suspicious activity
  • Completing related tasks as assigned

Qualifications:
  • A valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
  • To be willing to work indoors and outdoors in all seasons
  • To be willing to cross-train in other repair areas and help work on anything sold at Acme Tools
  • Lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Stand and walk for up to 10 hours
  • Frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach

We'd Love if You Have:
  • Engine Ceritification
  • Computer skills
  • 2+ years of experience working with gas and small-engine repair
  • Customer service skills
