Short description

One of our clients is looking for an experienced and proactive Lead Engineer to spearhead their subsea cabling division. In this pivotal role, you'll oversee major offshore cable installation projects, managing the entire process from initial planning through to successful delivery.

The position is based in Breda, with frequent travel abroad to vessels and project sites. There, your hands-on expertise will be essential in refining and executing method statements directly on location.

Function description

Your responsibilities

• Being responsible for the engineering, preparation, and execution of our projects;
• Developing method statements for the works to be executed offshore;
• Reviewing deliverables from the engineering department;
• Developing work-packs for the preparatory phase of the project;
• When on site, optimizing and implementing the method statements in practice and taking the Lead when necessary;
• Taking care of ad hoc needs of the project and actively responding to questions from the project management;
• Ensuring planning, reporting, budget control, and cost monitoring.

Requirements

• Bachelor/Master degree in Civil, Mechanical, Dredging or Marine Engineering;
• Experience with subsea cable installation projects;
• Willingness to work abroad on vessels or projects and in the office;
• Fluent in verbal and written English;
• Excellent team player and a good communicator.
