THE POSITION
Honeywell recently announced plans to sell its Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) business to Protective Industrial Products, Inc. (PIP®), a portfolio company of Odyssey Investment Partners. At this time, we anticipate that the deal will close in the first half of 2025, subject to customary closing conditions. We expect this role, dedicated to the PPE business, will be part of this future transaction when it closes.
As a Supplier Quality Engineering Manager for North America here at Honeywell, you willlead a team of quality engineers to ensure that our suppliers meet Honeywell'squality standards and strategy in the manufacture of components for PersonalProtective Equipment (PPE). You will be responsible for driving supplierperformance improvement, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring thehighest level of quality in our supply chain. You will report directly to our Director of Supplier Management and BTS Quality andyou'll work out of our Charlotte, NC location on a hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to make asignificant impact by managing the day-to-day activities of your team, drivingcontinuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with qualitystandards and regulatory requirements. You will also be responsible forconducting supplier audits, performing root cause analysis, and drivingcorrective actions to address quality issues. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the day-to-day activities of direct reports, providing initiative and guidance on Quality Tools and Processes and Problem Solving
- Drive Supplier Performance improvement initiatives to achieve world-class levels of quality
- Develop and implement supplier quality strategies to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements
- Conduct supplier audits to assess supplier capabilities and identify areas for improvement
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions to address quality issues and prevent recurrence
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive NPI and continuous improvement projects and resolve quality issues
- Monitor supplier quality metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Provide technical support and guidance to suppliers to help them meet Honeywell's quality requirements

YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
- 6+ years of experience in supplier quality engineering or a related role
- Strong knowledge of quality engineering practices (PPAP, FAI, RCCA) and methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
- Willingness to travel as required
WE VALUE
- Automotive background including experience TS 16949
- Experience in Medical Devices and Drugs industry
- Six Sigma certification or knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies
- Experience in conducting supplier audits and performing root cause analysis
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to influence and negotiate with suppliers
