As a QCS Field Service Engineer you will be accountable for performing maintenance, audits, configuration, programming, installation, commissioning, upgrades, and migration of complex/advanced Honeywell Quality Control Systems (QCS). You will spend their time validating customer requests and developing, maintaining, and improving customer relationships.

The primary focus of this role is to provide continuing service for Honeywell's QCS platforms used in a pulp and paper mill primarily in Georgia, with t traveling 50% outside the area. A company car will be provided for travel.

Key Responsibilities

- Dedication of 18 months to the Honeywell Training & Certification Program while performing normal job duties.

- 1+ years of prior field service experience in assisting technical or engineering services or military experience in electronics programs may be considered equivalent to this typical qualification.

- Basic insight of networking and electrical theory.

- 1+ year of experience using basic Windows and Microsoft Office applications.

- Experience working with Operator HMI (Panels & Touchscreens).

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate messages both technical and non-technical.

- Self-motivated and willing to work in demanding environments with little or no supervision, taking initiative to be proactive.

- Ability to diagnose malfunctioning electrical systems and perform preventive maintenance using electrical test equipment.

- Experience or knowledge reading electrical drawings and utilizing them for troubleshooting electrical systems.

- Maintain Honeywell's suite of QCS quality control hardware and software and handle customer questions about the state of the system.

- Stay current with installation standard methodologies, equipment protocol, and safety guidelines.

- Provide on-site pre-start-up, start-up, contracted service work, warranty, troubleshooting, and training of Honeywell products, ensuring equipment is operational and free of defects.

- Accurately document the work performed at a customer facility and/or project staging area, including periodic preventive maintenance and intermittent corrective maintenance tasks.

- Handle customer service-related issues, foster customer relationships, and work to solve technical problems on-site.

- Communicate effectively with plant operators, plant management, 3rd party vendors, and other Honeywell personnel in facilitation of service operations.

- Troubleshoot and repair equipment using own technical knowledge and experience to resolve problems.

- Review product prints and specifications.

- Play an engaged role in various projects such as upgrades, new installations, or new functionality for customers when required.

- Work with contractors to review and ensure the unit/package is installed to specifications.

- Coordinate work with other groups to ensure meeting dedication.

YOU MUST HAVE

- Dedication to obtain and maintain L3 CEAT certification within 18 months of hire (Training is given to achieve this).

- High School Diploma or equivalent.

- 1 year of professional experience in an engineering or technical field, or military experience in electronics programs may be considered equivalent to this typical qualification.

- Valid driver's license.

- 1 year of experience using basic Windows OS and Microsoft Office applications.

- Able to perform frequent climbing, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, and grasping.

- Experience with industrial process control field instrumentation is desired.

- Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills, capable of learning available thoughtful tools to solve complex system or process problems.
