Your role and responsibilities
We are seeking an IoT Engineer for our Electrification Business, specifically within the Smart Power division. You will join the Microgrids and E-mobility Infrastructure Agile Team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge microgrid technologies. The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid You will be mainly accountable for: • Design and Development: Design advanced microgrid controls, both AC and DC, by leveraging existing market solutions and developing innovative approaches to address market gaps. Focus on the development of the control system, including selecting appropriate technology stacks, communication options and implementing solutions to ensure scalability and maintainability, and conducting validation. • Field Installation: Oversee the setup, commissioning, and maintenance of pilot field installations related to microgrids. • Customer Support: Visit customers to gather their requirements and provide support. • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of solutions. You will join a dynamic team, where you will be able to thrive.

Qualifications for the role
- You are highly skilled in software development, using Python. You possess a proven experience with Electric Power Systems, EV Charging, and Protection Logics is essential
- Demonstrated customer-facing skills with practical, hands-on experience in field installation is a must
- Ability to demonstrate your experience in PLC programming using CODESYS; knowledge of ABB solutions (e.g. AC500) is a plus
- Possess an enhanced knowledge in device integration in the field of IoT using industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus RTU/TCP, OCCP, and IEC 61850). Demonstrated customer-facing skills with practical, hands-on experience in field installation is a must
- You are passionate about collaboration and multicultural environment. You have a customer focus approach.
- Master's degree in Automation/Computer Engineering or equivalent
- You are at ease communicating in Italian & English
