As an Automation Engineer II here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing Machine Guarding solutions to improve machine safety in our manufacturing processes.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify machine guarding opportunities, develop control strategies, and integrate machine guard systems. Your expertise in machine guarding technologies will contribute to the success and growth of our organization. You will report directly to our Machine guarding Engineering Manager.

In this role, you will impact on our manufacturing operations by implementing machine guarding solutions that optimize production processes, and improve machine safety. Your contributions will directly impact on our bottom line and help us maintain our position as a global technology leader.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform risk assessments at sites across the globe, develop appropriate solutions, create detail design, fabricate and implement machine guarding solutions to improve machine safety.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify machine guarding opportunities and develop control strategies

• Integrate machine guarding systems with existing manufacturing processes

• Conduct testing and troubleshooting of machine guarding systems

• Provide technical support and training to manufacturing teams

The annual base salary range for this position is $86400 -$108000. Please note that this salary information serves as a generalguideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer,including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position,the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well asmarket and business considerations.

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as Electrical, Controls, Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering, 3+ years of experience in machine guarding or a related field

• Strong knowledge of machine guarding technologies, control systems and PLC is required. Experience in field work is a plus. TUV certification is a plus.

WE VALUE

• Master's degree in a technical discipline

• Experience with PLC programming and HMI design

• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Ethernet/IP)

• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and equipment

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
