In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Providing engineering support to other departments across the company globally.
- Supporting the supply chain area by designing, analyzing, evaluating, and qualifying existing or new materials/components.
- Collaborating closely with the Design Laboratory to conduct product and material/component tests and studies, defining their scope and parameters.
- Identifying alternatives for existing materials and exploring possibilities for their implementation.
- Developing and implementing actions to optimize products, including cost optimization, manufacturing technology improvements, and enhancements to functionality, efficiency, durability, and reliability.
- Formally initiating and processing changes to products, materials, or components.
- Working on selected projects as a team member or leader within international project teams.
Who You Are:
You are a proactive, detail-oriented professional with a strong technical background and the ability to navigate complex engineering challenges. You thrive in a collaborative environment, excel in problem-solving, and are passionate about driving innovation and improvement.
For This Role, You Will Need:
- A higher technical education, preferably in materials science, materials engineering, mechanics and machine construction, or fluid mechanics.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position.
- Excellent technical documentation reading skills.
- Familiarity with measurement tools.
- Knowledge of materials science, including metals, rubber, and plastics.
- Understanding of manufacturing methods and technologies, including machining, casting, and injection molding.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Willingness to travel, including internationally.
- Self-reliance, strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines under time and result pressure.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- Experience in driving cost optimization initiatives.
- Familiarity with international project management.
