Position: E&I Specialist
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Manage workflow processes including Corrective Maintenance (CM), Preventative Maintenance (PM), and Minor Projects (PJs).
  • Oversee Management of Change (MOC) processes to ensure risk assessment and implementation of recommended software or plant changes.
  • Track refurbishable spares processes, including tagging, repair, quality checks, logistics, and reinstallation.
  • Develop maintenance procedures using OEM manuals, industry best practices, and standards such as IEEE, ISA, NETA, NEMA, IEC, and FMEAs.
  • Create forms, checklists, and inspection sheets to support maintenance procedures.
  • Promote and develop a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with company HSE requirements within the E&I department.
  • Prepare and implement work packages, inspection and test plans, method statements, and execution plans.
  • Plan and coordinate all electrical and instrumentation implementation activities to ensure scopes of work are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Provide electrical and instrumentation maintenance support and expertise.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve technical and process issues.
  • Ensure tests, controls, inspections, and other activities are carried out by subcontractors according to the schedule, specifications, and approved Quality Plan, in compliance with required HSE standards.
  • Report to the Maintenance Team Leader on the status of daily activities and work progress.
  • Suggest, design, and implement small projects for high utilization and other process requirements.
  • Assist in sourcing and requisitioning spare parts, tools, and related items for proper execution of inspection and repairs.
  • Support the Team Leader in identifying maintenance and shutdown priorities to minimize downtime.
  • Perform any other related duties as required.

Education and Experience:
  • B.Sc. Degree in Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering, or Diploma/IEEET in Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls systems, with at least seven (7) years at an engineering or supervisory level. OR
  • Minimum of twelve (12) years of experience in the maintenance and operations of a plant or heavy plant industry as an Electrical and Instrumentation technician, with at least five (5) years at a supervisory level.
  • Field expertise in instrumentation and electrical maintenance (e.g., transmitters, switches, steam and gas turbines, transformers, MCCs, MV and HV Electrical) is desirable.
  • Experience in preventive (TBM, FFM, CBM, PDM, RBM) and corrective maintenance (DCM, EM).
  • Ability to review and propose changes in maintenance procedures, short instructions, and checklists.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance and planning, process maps, and workflows in the industrial environment, preferably in the power generation sector (e.g., CCPPs).
  • Ability to identify areas for improvement in workflows and process maps related to maintenance activities.
  • Proficiency in writing maintenance procedures, short instructions, checklists, and forms.

Membership and Licenses:
  • Membership in The International Society of Automation (ISA) and IEEE.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Proficiency in Maximo.
  • DCS programming skills are a strong plus, with experience in Yokogawa CS3000 and ProSafe RS.
  • PLC programming skills for various architectures are a strong plus.
  • High voltage and MCC maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of ISA, NETA standards, and international codes.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Effective analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Ability to identify root causes and reach logical resolutions.
  • Ability to establish and prioritize tasks and objectives to manage time, resources, and risks appropriately.
  • Practical-minded with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to anticipate future changes or challenges and develop appropriate solutions.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work with internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing, with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the company.
