Role Description The Environmental Engineer will be the driving force in developing the company’s environmental engineering programs to support optimization of existing activities in FPSO, as well as in New Energies and Technologies.

The Engineer will be instrumental in developing competencies in:

  • Preparing calculations and reports assessing the environmental aspects of projects.

  • Supporting Environmental Governance by assessing the requirements in client ESIA’s and ensuring conformance of projects to international good practice standards, including those produced by the International Finance Corporation.

  • Providing input to Environmental Design methodologies, including ENVID, Environmental ALARP, GHG Calculations, and Energy Efficiency Assessments.

  • Acting as a subject matter expert in the development of corporate standards and governance.

  • Supporting operating units with environmental engineering queries.

  • Providing training to staff and contractors on environmental matters.

The Environmental Engineer will be located in Rotterdam, the company's center of excellence for FPSO engineering.

Role Requirements The company is looking for applicants with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field of Engineering or Science, with a minimum of 5–10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas or EPC industry working as an Environmental Engineer. Hands-on experience in developing environmental reports and calculations is required. Experience with offshore facilities design (multi-discipline) and the ability to translate client and other requirements into specific design philosophies for execution is essential.

Preferred skills and experience:

  • A self-starter with strong interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Experience in facilitating workshops and training

  • Innovative and collaborative mindset

  • Demonstrated leadership and proactive behavior

  • Flexibility and adaptability to respond to operational changes

  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken); capable of developing presentations and training materials for internal and external audiences

  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed

  • Experience with FPSO is preferred

  • Broad knowledge of offshore systems, ideally both Topsides and Vessel
