Cost Control Lead - Suriname

On behalf of a major Oil & Gas E&P company, WRS are currently seeking a Cost Control Lead to join a major energy development project based in Paris. This will be supporting the development of a new FPSO project. The position will be working on a 1 year renewable contract, based residentially in Paris, paying a day rate in Euros.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead budget and cost control activities for a key project package (FPSO, SURF, SPS, or Drilling).
• Develop and implement cost control structures, procedures, and reporting tools (e.g., SAP, U-COST or similar).
• Monitor and analyze project expenditures, forecasts, and variances.
• Collaborate closely with technical and project control teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Identify cost risks, propose mitigation strategies, and escalate concerns when necessary.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold professional ethics across all activities.

Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in cost control within the oil & gas sector.
• At least 5 years of direct FPSO project experience.
• Experience working for an E&P operator
• Right to work in the EU
• Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
• Previous experience working in a multi-year, multi-currency project environment is highly desirable.
