Are you our next Product Responsible Engineer working with HVAC products?

As the Product Responsible Engineer, you have the overall technical responsibility for our HVAC System. Supported by our team of engineers and specialists, you will ensure the products maintain its leading position in the market segment, with focus on quality, safety, environmental friendliness, and cost-effective solutions.

The Product Responsible Engineer has the full ownership of a product and necessary authority to make decisions throughout its lifecycle. All changes on the product needs to be approved and documented by the Product Responsible Engineer or delegated responsible.

NOV Stavanger, Offshore Drillers Cabin department, is a leading supplier of Drillers cabins, Local Equipment Rooms and HVAC for offshore use. As a leading supplier, in our segment, we continuously develop new advanced and high-tech solutions with focus on environmentally friendly and cost-effective solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Product Development,
• Responsible for product cost control,
• Responsible for cost, planning and evaluation of quotes,
• Providing technical support towards internal and external customers,
• Responsible for equipment deliveries,
• Creating, updating, and maintaining product & project documentation,
• Lead coordination between discipline engineers, other product responsible engineers, document controllers etc.,
• Work both in teams and independent,
• Actively promote HSE and ensure the highest standards of HSE are maintained,
• Drive innovation and enforce product improvement,
• Stay on top of any technical aspect involving your products,
• Perform HVAC system design and HVAC calculations.

Who are you?

• You hold a Master's or bachelor's Degree as Mechanical engineer or relevant education to perform HVAC engineering,
• You have 5 years minimum Engineering and Project experience,
• You have very good English skills,
• You are able to understand the business needs and drivers,
• A candid team player who collaborates with peers to solve problems,
• You have a knowledge of 3D/2D Cad tools,
• You have a computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook etc),
• You are able to work independently, listen to customer needs, develop and present solutions.

It is nice if you ...

• Have relevant offshore experience,
• Know HVAC design, calculation of required HVAC and verification of steel structures,
• Know design for an ergonomic Working Environment,
• Know about rotating/moving machinery or pressurized equipment,
• Know about compliance, standards, rules, and regulations,
• Know about new product development.
