Role Overview:
The Lead Manufacturing Engineer will manage and coordinate delivery projects within the IPT team. You will organize and coordinate multi-functional teams to execute on product delivery improvements, support the Sourcing team and suppliers to resolve technical issues, while providing expertise to the team on manufacturing processes.

Role Overview:
The Lead Manufacturing Engineer will manage and coordinate delivery projects within the IPT team. You will organize and coordinate multi-functional teams to execute on product delivery improvements, support the Sourcing team and suppliers to resolve technical issues, while providing expertise to the team on manufacturing processes.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manufacturing Engineering focal for assigned supplier base. Expected to own the technical performance of assigned suppliers.
- Proactively identifies delivery barriers and resolves with fulfilment, commercial and quality team members. Is recognized as a critical team member by supplier or commodity
- Acts as a Project Manager for large complex suppliers along with others to drive resolution for complex problems, collaborating with internal and external supplier teams on the solutions.
- Has manufacturing expertise across multiple related part families and processes, along with deep domain expertise in castings manufacture and latent casting defects in machining.
- Guides and influences suppliers' performance based on manufacturing expertise.
- Actively drives cost reduction efforts within assigned supply base and is proactively engaged in addressing cost issues.
- Active in supplier selection based on value. Partners with commercial owners to ensure supplier selection provides desired value
- Supports source changes as needed and develops lower performing suppliers
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 7 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and/or Supply Chain)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and/or Supply Chain
- This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government contract restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Citizens. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active security clearance or the ability to obtain clearance
- 3+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and/or Supply Chain
- Experience in high volume production environment
- Expertise in programming or mechanically supporting traditional (milling, turning, broach, weld) and/or non-traditional (EDM, 3D printing) machining methods
- Sourcing, Shop Operations, or Production Control expertise
- Manufacturing Experience in Aerospace or Automotive

- Focused: Safety first, prioritizes work, measures success by the customer, continuously improves
